Massage is an ancient healing practice and has many techniques and modalities that have developed all over the world. Relax & Renew offers individually tailored combinations of several of these different techniques to each customer.
For a typical client, I first relax the body with primarily Swedish techniques and then address specific issues with deep tissue techniques and modalities from my knowledge of eastern styles of massage. Some clients prefer Ashiatsu, a variation of Shiatsu, which is done on the ground fully clothed.
Since each client has individual needs, I feel it is important for me to not only have a wide base of knowledge to pull from, but also many options to offer to the client.
In helping decide which of the services listed below is right for you, I can offer my training and expertise to recommend a massage technique that will give you the most benefit. Of course, you may also specify the type of massage you most prefer.

The typical Table massage combines Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Reflexology and techniques from several other massage styles, combined to create a special massage for each clients individual needs. If desired, Swedish, Deep Tissue or Shiatsu can be done solitary, but it is the combination that converges to create the best massage. Massage oils or lotions are used on the bare skin for this massage.
The hot stone massage is very similar to a regular table massage as far as the styles that it incorporates. But, unlike a regular table massage, hot stones are used in this massage. The benefits of the stones include increased circulation the muscle as the heat melts away pain and tension. Hot stone massage is great on a cold day in San Francisco. Massage oils are used on the bare skin for this massage as well as heated stones. This is not recommended for those with heat sensitivity or sunburn.
Shiatsu massage is a Japanese style of massage based on the principals of Chinese Medicine. This massage creates a harmonious flow of energy within the body and induces relaxation, relieves pain & fatigue and benefits ones overall health and well-being. This massage is done on a floor mat fully clothed in loose comfortable clothing.
The spa foot and hand treatments include a soak, scrub and moisturizer on the hands and feet. This also includes a massage of the hands and feet.
Chi Nei Tsang Massage is also based on the principals of Chinese Medicine and mainly focuses on the detoxification of the skin, large intestine and harmonizing the internal organs. This massage is done on the bare stomach fully clothed.
Offered on all massages, excluding Chi Nei Tsang. Extra time must be requested in advance, and you may request up to 45 minutes extra.
For table and Shiatsu out call services in San Francisco, please add $15. For beyond other Bay Area cities, please add $25.
Spa Parties are a great way to celebrate with friends. Pamper yourself and your guest with massage and facials. Massages are 45 minutes long and you can chose from Shiatsu or Table Massage for your party. We travel to your home, so all you have to do is worry about how you want to relax. Ask me for more details about the spa party treatments you can offer your friends.
A great idea for parties, events, employee perks or any special event, chair massage is typically done on an out call basis. Remember, happy employees are more productive employees. Chair massage usually lasts 15 per person with up to 3 massages per hour. The per-hour price depends on travel distance, and there is a two-hour minimum (4 person).
1.5 hour package rates also available.
